UpdateFor people who have only name/nickname, instead of full name, on the certificate - we will be adding the possibility to download the certificate from the profile page. Before that we will issue a warning about having to change the name, and will regenerate the certificates again. We will see that this regeneration also solves the problems with signatures not showing up, when using some PDF viewers. There is no timeline for when exactly this will happen! Your new and shiny certificates are available for download again!Cheers to our never-sleeping engineering team! Maybe they are not human after all? Direct links below: If you still have issues with the certificate, please answer to this post. If the issue is wrong level of certificate, please double-check the requirements before posting.

I've got the same problem. I think this should be related to the field "Real Name" in "User tools -> Edit Profile" which I filled in just with my name (Pasquale in this case) and not with my name and surname. Or with the "Name" field in the Udacity Account Setting. I'll be glad if I could get even my surname on my certificate, if it possible of course. If it's not, I don't mind. I'll stay Udacious for the rest of my time anyway :). Thank you in advance. P.s.: the same for CS373. EDIT: For who is interested, have a look here (from an email received by Udacity for the course 373) ...We are aware that there are some problems viewing the signatures with some PDF viewers and that a number of students have requested to change the name shown on their certificate. We will be updating all certificates with the name listed on your account this Sunday (the 29th,) so if you would like yours changed please update your name before then on your account settings page. |

I also just have my first name on the certificate... and I did just enter my first name in the Name field when I signed up (err, duh, what was I thinking? I did update my Udacity account and this forum account with my full name but I am also wondering if the certificate can be issued to include my full name? I really should have thought of this a while back - how else would you know our full names? Perhaps adding a note for that field might help with this in the future ("This is the name we will print on any certificates we issue to you!" Thanks! |

Hi I just found out that my certificate has only my first name on it and no surname. It's my fault that I didn't check it out earlier but is it possible to regenerate it? Thanks, Alex. |

My certificate has my user (online) name for 4 new courses (and not for CS101) and not my real name. Would you please correct it to show my real name? Thank you. |

Hey, I just found out that I got the correct Certificate and that my name is also correct. Even the signatures of Dave and Sebastian are there. Anything I could be missing? 2
wonder if Peter didn't get the satire or was being sarcastic himself >.> 2
@PeterUdacity @elssar Wow, even with a different PDF reader all seems to be correct. Anything I could be missing? Even when I print it out, everything seems to be there, especially when my printer has enough ink. 1
I always looooove good sarcasm, but this time not so much. :S Maybe cause I still don't have mine correctly, and I can not brag with my highest distinction (and being one of the Udacity pioneers. :)). :P Come on. Natasha is very common name, internationally speaking. 1

Everywhere I am registered with my full name, except on the forum, and I plan to stick to that. Don't get me wrong. Blaming was the last thing I wanted to do. I am very happy to be part of all this. And yes, what Udacity is doing is just GREAT! :) The certificate is just a plus, and if I can have it, why not?! :) |
Just a comment, perhaps useful for others: my browser - Chrome on Win7 - doesn't render the certificates (pages stay blank); however, after saving the files with .pdf extension, their exquisite beauty is finally exposed in Acrobat :-)
I am missing High Distinction though I had 9 correct in final exam and 80% on homework? is still there any issue on the system? will it be corrected?
Update on previous comment: now the certificates are correctly and promptly seen in the browser; either something was corrected in the Udacity servers, or the traffic went down (probably...)
Could this link be added in our "Account settings" page, on the website?
It would be easier to reach if we need to show it to someone, as so far we need to be logged on to download a copy.
And as showing often involves proof, carrying the PDF around is not good for this purpose. Seeing one log on his account and download it is, on the other hand.
I am still not able to see my certificate.. It gives 404 error. Please help
Finally figured it out..It doesnt work in firefox...All i was seeing was a blank page... Google chrome works fine :)
@Angel - I like your idea, I do think it would be nice to have our "decorations" available through our account page. This is both good for convenience and, as you note, down the road for possible employment and or client "proof".
But for now, you do need to be logged on to your account for your link to work and show your certificate, so I think that could work for you in the meantime.
@CodyHacker I didn't want to be too greedy and ask for a public summary right now, like Pearson etc.. has. For now, not having to peek on the forum and back to the site would make it more professional. Once it's done, I guess it's not too hard to implement the second part with a given user/account #, showing a table (not the actual certificates in pdf..) . i.e. http://www.udacity/certificates/id0066043
Hi, i have my certificate, but only with my name "Javier", it is posible with my full name? "Javier Guillen Alcaraz" ? Thanks a lot. Good work!
When I click on 373, I just get directed to the sign up for the new 373 course.
I'm not doing any more courses until this is resolved.
There has been confusion due to some CS101 students receiving a CS373 email last week indicating certificate regeneration on Sunday April 29th.
See this post on the April forums suggesting more detailed reporting of remaining issues/questions with more information on last week's CS373 email sent to a CS101 student
