Udacity Contest Query

A few of my friends have decided to team up to compete in the Udacity contest.

So IF ( I know its a long shot) we win it, or come in the top 10 ( as stated in the Udacity CONTEST rules.) can the prize money, or the recognition be split among the team mates?

The Contest rules state, "The Grand Prize will be awarded to up to ten (10) individual Entrants".

I understand that the all expense paid trip to Palo Alto,California is for one member. But..

If we enter as a team,

  1. Can all of the team members get recognition?
  2. Can the prize money be split among team members?

yeah!! even i'm looking forward to hear answer from the udacity.. hope every one in the team would get recognition for trying.. because i feel in a group, we can contribute more to the project and get it properly done in the limited time we have!!!

All of the team members will get recognition, but since the prize is a trip there is no way to divide it among multiple team members. Depending on the results, we may try to invite more than one person on a team, but cannot promise this.

Thanks Dave! Just the opportunity to participate in a contest like this is awesome. (Now to win it! )

Also, I'd like to thank you for having the competition, and teaching this class in general. Your lectures were really brilliant! A BIG THANK YOU to the whole Udacity team!

Stay Udacious! :D

Also, the cost of this trip may depend where the person is coming from. Flights to certain countries are considerably more expensive than others, plus there may need to be visa arrangements made.

While we're on the topic, if anyone wants to team-up, I would be most willing! This sounds incredibly exciting!

I have an additional question... when will the winners be announced and is there like an intermediate point where they say we've cut it down to these many contestant and on this date will announce the winners?
It would be so cool if you know sooner.
