lacking efficiency in HW 5.4 and HW 5.5

I got HW 5.5 but it wasn't pretty! I was very inefficient. I got HW 5.4 also, but it runs slowly. So that's another case of inefficiency, in a different sense. It's a good thing I'm not a professional programmer! :-)

Is there anything we can do as beginners to be more efficient? One thing that helped with HW 5.5 was really studying the expected output.

I think I've run out of time to do the HW 5.6 and 5.7. I only do Udacity homework on the weekend. Are they a little easier maybe? Thank you.

One Answer:

I think 5.6 is definitely easier as it's just moving code around so it's not repeated.

5.7 is just a few lines if you spot what to do.

Thanks! 5.6 was easier! I hope to try 5.7 before our deadline, but I'm out of time for today. Thank you for your help!
