Fieldrobot, using particle filter

Inspired by the grand challenge robot Stanley and Sebastians 'Probabilistic Robotics' book, we implemented the particle filter approach in our field robot Hugo. Here is a small movie: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T7kj9VdFL2Y
The software is based on methods taught in this class, especially particle filters.

yes, plants are used to navigate.

in fact this robot was built before our course started from the look of the upload date of the video.
