Could you please provide some more details about how you are logging in? Are you using the username / password method, Facebook, Google, Twitter or some other OpenID provider?
I brought this to the attention of the forum tech person, and he will look at your problem in the morning (in his timezone!) :-) Sorry for the inconvenience!
I'm using username/password. It may have something to do with cs101 too because I'm trying to login to the cs373 forum and I get mail from cs101. I'm also following cs101 by the way, so maybe following multiple courses is not supported yet.
@AlbertVos: following multiple courses is definitely supported. One caveat of the current system is that logins are separate to each site (so your username/password for CS101 forum - not the main site - is stored in a different database that the one for CS373 forum). This means that having an account on one forum doesn't mean that you have an account on the second forum or you may have accounts with different usernames, etc. We are working on making this situation more manageable (via centralized login) for the future).
Given the above situation may it be possible that the problem is caused by some mixup? (like trying to use the CS101 password on CS373 site?). If not, would you please allow me to reset the password on both of the accounts so that I can try to reproduce the problem? (I tried to reproduce it with my accounts to no avail). After I'm done testing I'll send you an email with the new password and you can set it back to whatever you like.
yes go ahead. Today firefox remembered my login for the forum but I'm trying to switch to google-chrome because I'm having trouble watching the videos; in firefox they crash when I use the menu. But I cannot get chrome to login on the forum. So at the moment I'm stuck with a two browser solution; chrome for the videos, firefox for the forum.
